Privacy & Local Storage Policy

1. Local Client Storage (IndexedDB)

All observation notes, telescope logs, and custom coordinates stored in the Private Journal reside strictly within your local browser's IndexedDB storage. No logbook entries are ever transmitted, synced, or backed up to any remote cloud infrastructure. You have complete control to export (JSON) or erase this data at any moment.

2. Geolocation & Coordinates

Site coordinates are used purely client-side to compute topocentric altitude, azimuth, and rise/set times. No reverse-geocoding calls or third-party mapping requests are made.

3. Advertising & Cookies

In development and local operation, no commercial tracking scripts or advertising tags are executed. The Private Journal is permanently exempt from any third-party advertising scripts.
